Recreation in Pleasant Hills
Recreation in Pleasant Hills comes in many forms. For a borough that is less than 3 square miles, baseball fields, soccer fields, football fields, and playgrounds are around every corner. And it seems as though there is an organization for just about every activity you can imagine.
Pleasant Hills maintains three parks: Mowry Park (400 Mowry Drive, Pgh., PA 15236), Pleasant Kingdom (410 East Bruceton, Pgh., PA 15236), and the Rt. 51 Playground (Clairton Boulevard, Pgh., PA 15236). Collectively, these parks offer facilities for baseball, football, soccer, softball, basketball, and roller hockey. The parks also offer playground facilities, picnic shelters, walking paths, and much more.
Picnic Shelter's in Pleasant Kingdom and Mowry Park are available to rent starting April 15th through October 31th each year.
Reservations for Mowry Park picnic shelters 1 & 2 and Pleasant Kingdom picnic shelters A & B will be accepted from Borough Residents starting the first working business day in January and all others after April 15th of each new year.
The rental fee for Borough Residents is $125.00 which includes a $25.00 security deposit that will be refunded if the shelter area is clean and damage free. The fee for all others is $150.00 which includes a $25.00 security deposit that will be refunded if the shelter area is clean and damage free.
ALL picnic shelter reservations must be paid for within 5 business days of reservation.
