Emergency Management Agency
The Borough of Pleasant Hills is a part of the Allegheny County Emergency Services and (PEMA) Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
We are committed to working in conjunction with public safety agencies, not only within the borough but also throughout the county, to provide the finest in protection and services to our community. PEMA and Allegheny County Emergency Services have jointly conducted numerous training activities and disaster planning events to prepare for man-made and natural disasters. Pleasant Hills has cooperated in those activities relating to our borough and schools. Allegheny County conducts quarterly training programs for Emergency Management Coordinators and their Deputy Coordinators. Each training event offers insight into preparatory strategies wherein Coordinators can work in unison to bring to bear the greatest number of personnel and amount of emergency equipment. We are very fortunate in Pleasant Hills to have the excellent working relationship between public safety departments that we do. This interagency commitment is a testament to the professionalism and dedication shown by our borough’s personnel. Our residents can be assured that when there is an incident public safety will respond quickly and exhaust every avenue to resolve the situation while still showing the compassion and concern which typifies the quality of our personnel.
