Borough of Pleasant Hills Moves to Emergency Operations in Response to COVID-19:

As of 12:00 p.m., March 19, 2020 the Borough of Pleasant Hills declared a Declaration of Emergency to help accelerate resource and service procurement during the COVID-19 global pandemic. The Borough of Pleasant Hills is moving to further restrict face-to-face interaction between Borough personnel and residents, while preserving core services in response to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All employees who can telework will start to do so throughout the pandemic and the Administration office staff will rotate in the office to handle phone calls and mail.

Crews from the department of Public Works and Pleasant Hills Authority will move to skeleton staffing with staggered shifts and 24 hour on-call.

Police responses will continue as previously announced.

We are continuing to do our part by:

 Maintaining at least 6 feet of distance between all staff
 Ensure workers will not share gloves or face guards
 Regularly sanitize shared surfaces such as steering wheels, computers and other shared
equipment
 Limited access to facilities to adhere with social distancing
 Community Parks have been closed to the public

The following precautions have been recommended; please join us in our continued efforts by taking these simple precautions: Hands should be washed with soap frequently and for a minimum of 20 seconds, avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands and to cough/sneeze into the crook of the arm instead of the hands.

The Borough of Pleasant Hills is continually monitoring the information provided by the Allegheny County Health Department, the World Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control and will do our part in keeping up with new recommendations as they are presented.
