UPDATE ON MUNICIPAL PROJECTS

  1. The new wet weather equalization facility near the Toyota Dealership is nearing completion. The Borough anticipates completion of this project by years end.

  2. Residents should be aware that as the Sunrise Sanitary Sewer Project continues, the contractor is nearing completion of the sections between Orchard and Old Lebanon Church Road as well as the section between Old Lebanon Church Road and Sunrise Drive.  Once these are completed, the contractor will be moving to Orchard Drive between Glenburn and Old Lebanon Church Road as well as Glenburn Drive between Old Lebanon Church Road and Clairton Blvd. ( State Route 51).  We anticipate these phases will require road closures.  Please check back for further updates in the future.

  3. Design is complete for the 60-year old Tassel Lane sanitary sewer pump station and force main.  The project is awaiting completion of a possible grant to finance this project.

Winter has arrived in the Borough and with winter comes snow and ice.  Please be cognizant of where your vehicles are parked.  When parking along the streets during permitted times, our snow removal trucks/equipment are very large and require increased space to safety clear the roads.  Additionally, at no time is it permissible to push snow from any driveway or sidewalk into the roadway.  Doing this creates a hazard for motorists who may have to stop abruptly.  Thank you.

Alerts

Glenburn Drive between Route 51 and Old Lebanon Church Road will be CLOSED starting Thursday, January 25, 2018 for a sewer line replacement. There will be NO access from Route 51 to Glenburn Drive.  Please use Lebanon Church Road to access Sunrise Drive. Thank you.

*******************************

Borough Code 356-26 states that parking on Borough streets is PROHIBITED if there is six (6) inches or more of accumulated snow or ice.  No person may shovel, throw, toss, blow or otherwise deposit snow or ice from their lawn, driveway or sidewalk onto Borough Streets.

ADDITIONALLY, public sidewalks on your property and/or sidewalks in a "right of way" on your property are required to have the snow removed within 24 hours of the snow event.

**********************************
